Some 45 years ago in 1967 Mercedes-Benz struck up a partnership with AMG. Founded by two former Mercedes engineers, AMG originally started developing engines for motorsport competitions.

In todays world, AMG is known to take Mercedes-Benz vehicles and take them to their limits, making them much faster. To celebrate a partnership of 45 years, AMG have created a special version of the SL65 AMG Roadster which will be available for just 45 very lucky buyers.

As it stands there isnt many details regarding the spec of the special edition SL65 but you can expect it to come with the forced-injection V12 which is currently used to power the standard SL65 AMG which produces 621 bhp.

The 45th Anniversary special is more than likely to cost considerably more than the standard SL65 AMG which is priced at £130,000.
