Fernando Alonso wins this years European Grand Prix in Valencia. This becomes his second victory of the 2012 season after starting the race 11th on the grid. Todays win takes him to the top of the championship with a 20 point lead.
Lewis Hamilton looked to be taking his McLaren home in second postion, but with no grip late on he was caught and passed by Raikkonen.
Not far behind was Williams driver Pastor Maldonado and during the attempted pass Maldonado clipped the McLaren resulting in the end to Lewis Hamilton's race.
Michael Schumacher finished the race in third place, which was his first podium finish since his return to Formula One.
