Lewis Hamilton wins the 2012 Hungarian GP for his second win of the formula one season and his 19th win of his career.
The McLaren racer started the race on pole position following his great performance in saturdays qualifying session.  Hamilton had a great start to the race and managed to stay out in front for the remainder.

The Hungarian circuit is known for being a hard track to overtake which showed in todays race with many of the overtaking monouvers happening with the pitstop undercuts.

Kimi Raikkonen had a great race finishing on the podium in second position, with third place going to fellow Lotus F1 driver Romain Grosjean.  Sebastian Vettel managed to bring his Red Bull home in fourth position with Fernando Alonso finishing in fifth.

Hamiltons brit teammate Jenson Button finished in sixth position following a good start to get up to third place, but pitstop strategy played its role in Bottons fall down the grid.

Fernando Alonso although finishing fifth extended his lead in the drivers championship to 40 points as his closest rival Mark Webber only managed eight place.

Next up is the summer break with a return to action at Belgiums Spa Circuit.
